The course is split into 5 topics – each intended to satisfy the requirements set forth by OSHA. These topics include:

How long does the course take to complete?

Operators with no previous forklift experience can expect to spend ~2 hours completing the course. This is because they need time to understand how a forklifts operates and are more likely not familiar with safety regulations or procedures in this area. Individuals who have had prior experience, however, typically finish the course in about 1 hour as they will already know what needs be done and may want extra training on specific topics like pre-operation checks before starting work which would save them valuable minutes during their working day!

Am I required to pass an exam to receive my certification?

Yes, after you have watched all of the training videos and done everything I said to do, it’s time for your final exam. It can be taken unlimited amount of times but in order to receive certification you will need a score over 70%.

After I pass my exam, what happens?

When you pass the exam, your Official Forklift Certification document will be printed with all of your key information and a QR code that can be scanned to verify its authenticity.

Employees operating a forklift or other material handling equipment shall have successfully completed the “forklift” operator training program offered by an approved third party provider (ATP) as determined by DOL/HIOF;

Employers of companies that employ one or more persons to operate any type of hoisting apparatus, such as elevators, cranes, derricks, boom trucks and wrecking balls must require their operators to maintain certification pursuant to rule 67C-1701(a);
